Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez, a Mexican-American actor and singer is extremely popular. Her mother was her primary caregiver in the USA and she was subject to several racial stereotypes, which left her feeling like an unwanted person. It was in her ninth grade when she began to gain confidence after being highly praised during an audition. The singer not only gained confidence because of the experience however, she also re-evaluate her the direction of her career. At the age of 22, she graduated in the Julliard School of New York. In 1993 she had her Broadway debut with Paul Simon's The Capeman. Her first film was You've Got Mail. In the Broadway original production of Spamalot She played the role of Lady of The Lake and was awarded the Tony Award as well as the praise of critics. The following year, in 2007, she was cast on the ABC show Grey's Anatomy and became more well-known. Alongside having a cult following as a singer, she also released her own solo album and a longer piece. As an activist, she works tirelessly in the cause of LGBT equality.
