Zoe-perry
Perry was born July 25, 1968 in Chicago in Illinois. She was the daughter of Laurie Metcalf Perry and Jeff Perry. Two of her earliest television appearances were Jackie Harris on ABC's sitcom Roseanne. Her mother played the character. She was not allowed to begin acting by her parents until the age of adulthood because they were afraid of the anxiety it could create. Perry states that she did not want to become an actor during high school, but she decided to begin acting as a social activity while at Northwestern University when she switched from Boston University. Perry was able to land small TV roles in Law & Order: Criminal Intent after she graduated. However, her homesickness brought her to California again where she began to work in the stage. The Other Place was performed by her and her mother on Broadway in 2013. Kevin McKidd, her father Kevin McKidd performed in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama Anna Christie with her in 2015. Perry appeared in nine episodes of the ABC crime thriller The Family in 2016. In 2017, Perry had an appearance on ABC's political thriller Scandal along with her father. The actress also portrayed her younger Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon, which is a CBS spin-off of The Big Bang Theory. The character was assigned an audition to the actress, regardless of the fact that she was a cousin with the role.
