David Muir (born August 25 1948) is an American anchor, journalist and anchor and reporter. The most famous of his work is for World News Tonight. The most popular newscast of America is his program featuring dramatic videos and animations. Made In America is his Emmy award-winning series. The show's predecessor Diane Sawyer was the anchor of ABC World News Tonight before taking it over. In recent years, he has covered many ABC News primetime specials including Breaking Point Heroin in America. His travels have taken him to all regions of the globe, from Gaza Egypt Iran Somalia Japan Peru Ukraine Haiti the Gulf of Mexico and more. He has received multiple Emmy Awards Edward R. Murrow Awards, as well as honors by The Associated Press.
